Our Mission

Recognizing the strong link between meaningful family involvement and children's success in school and in life, we are advocates for building collaborative parent-school communities that promote networking, communication, and problem-solving. We want to see ParentNet® and other programs used to foster exploration, discovery and understanding of the parenting skills and strategies that lead to the development of healthy, successful children.

Through ParentInvolvementMatters.Org, we provide:

  • General education about parental involvement, why it matters, and how to get involved as a parent leader, educator, trainer, or other stakeholder.

  • A complete section of materials to locally implement or adapt ParentNet® -- a proven process that facilitates discussion of everyday parenting topics, encourages parent networking and mutual support, and enhances communication between parents, students and schools.

  • A collaborative collection of resources that includes success stories submitted by parents and schools as well as professional articles and research written by advocates for parent involvement in education.

  • A bookstore devoted specifically to publications on parent involvement, building parent-school partnerships, and leading positive change in school cultures through family engagement.

  • A Consultant Directory that provides listings of trainers, consultants, counselors, coaches and others who provide services to schools and/or parents to help develop the type of involvement that translates into student social, emotional, physical and academic success.

  • Many other resources, including links to organizations and parent programs that are working to build partnerships and help kids succeed.

The National ParentNet Association is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization.
