Get Involved!

For most people, the term "parent involvement" conjures up images of parents volunteering in the classroom, raising money for new equipment, or leading the local parent association. And that kind of involvement usually wanes when kids leave elementary school. But parent involvement means so much more -- and it is needed all the way through high school!

If you work with parents and school leaders, you know there are many challenges to raising healthy, successful children and that the responsibility to do so rests with all of us. We urge you to become an advocate for collaboration between parents and schools and for the type of parent involvement and education that helps parents create supportive learning environments for their kids...and much more!

We invite you to get involved in the effort to take parent involvement to new heights -- to stretch our thinking about what parent involvement means, explore new ideas, collaborate, and share successes.
