Submit Professional Article or Research
Are you a parent educator, psychologist, counselor, researcher, teacher, school administrator, or other professional advocate for parent involvement and parent-school partnerships? Please help us understand parent involvement in greater depth so that we can use your knowledge and expertise to create a better future for our children.
We are looking for professional input in the following categories.
- Articles - that shed new understanding and ways of thinking about parent involvement and parent-school partnerships. Submissions can be of any length, from broad to more specific discussions on the topic. Examples might include articles that share how economically disadvantaged or culturally diverse parents, or those who face major family challenges such as children involved with drugs, alcohol, bullying and other risky behaviors can work with schools to benefit their children. Also, articles that give advice for parents and schools collaborating about children with special needs such as learning disabilities, autism, giftedness, etc. Articles should include suggested ways or models of supporting parents and/or schools in their goal to help students become successful in school and in life. (Articles may be submitted through PDF, Word attachments, or by online submission.)
- Scholarly Research - that describes studies in the field of parent and family involvement and efforts to build effective parent-school communities. Submissions can be of any length, from broad to more specific topics in the field as described in the above paragraph under "Articles." (Research studies may be submitted through PDF or a link to where they already reside on the Internet.)
